I say natural because the honey hasn’t been denatured. If honey has been heated to 40degC, it will kill the natural yeast that comes from the bee’s gut. In that case you need to add yeast & yeast nutrients.
In this case I’ve only used honey, rainwater & mulberries on the left & large jar containing the must. The bottle on the right is a bit older, and the fruit is red dragonfruit.
Hi Craige, we’ve been non drinkers until I started making this mead last year. I only have what I think is one standard drink per day out of a coffee cup. I should buy myself a nice pewter or something similar. I see you can buy nice Viking style drinking horns made from buffalo horns.
