I was watching the entrance to my hive the other day and noticed these flies trying to enter. The bees were chasing them away but the flies were very persistent. I pulled the pest tray and there were about ten of these same flies dead in the oil. Has anyone had experience with this? The flies are the same size as a house/bush fly with a lighter color segment to each side of their abdomen. I’ll add a video.
