Flow Hive finally working in the Virgin Islands

It took a while for the bees to accept the flow hive but I successfully collected honey from 2 frames.
It took years but the finally started using it.

Hi there, thanks for sharing this update. It’s always great to hear how Flow Hives are performing in different climates!
This is a really encouraging result.
Once the bees start using the Flow Frames, they often continue to expand their use under the right conditions.
A couple of helpful notes:

  • Strong nectar flows usually encourage better uptake of the system
  • Ensuring the hive is well-established and thriving makes a big difference

It’s a great reminder that patience really pays off.

Yes patience is key. I left them alone. The brood box was full and they were in the flow hive, but took a while for them to accept it. Now that they have the frames are slowly filling up. This year there is a great nectar flow. All of the fruit trees in my yard are blossoming.
Thanks for the email
Frank
