Flow Super Lifter and Ideal Boxes - question

Hi, My Flow Super Lifter has arrived - excited. OK I run langstroth boxes and the configuration is 1 x Deep Brood Box. On top is 2 x Ideal Supers. I understand that I will clamp the 2 Ideal Supers together so that I can lift them as one box. However, my question is exactly where do I put the clamping screws on the bottom Ideal Box? Is it still at the mid point of the Ideal box? Or where? Any help would be appreciated

Hi Christina, I haven’t received my Super Lifter yet but have considered the problem as I have some hives with double supers instead of a Flow Super. It won’t be at the mid point of the Ideal Super as they are shallower than the Flow Super.
I’ve taken a screenshot from the promotional video at the point where Cedar attaches to the top box, you will need to measure at the point where the screw is showing and put your screws in at that point of the Ideal Super. I’ve inserted an arrow to show the positioning. Hope this helps.

Many thanks for your reply and screen shot. I’ll look and do some measurements. I sort of thought this may be the case - that I view the 2 ideal boxes as thought they were 1 full depth and look at putting the screws accordingly. Thank you - appreciate the photo also

Hi Christina, just found that Flow have full instructions for attaching to the Ideal supers. Download it here: https://support.honeyflow.com/super-lifter-guide/
