I met up with firebug last Sunday, definitely has a gorgeous set up at their home. Definitely getting into it well, they will be very very successful.
Wanting to check to see if anyone is using âAcornâ foundation. Getting ready to place a large order of their heavy be wax coated. Any suggestions on black foundation other than Acorn? Any experience anybody would like to share
I have used Mann Lake black foundation. No complaints. It smells good when fresh (like a healthy hive). It lasts well. But like any plastic foundation, it is much more prone to bridge, island and creative comb than pure wax foundation, even wired wax is built up straighter. So although easy to handle and it works, it can be a lot more work to sort out the hives for the first few months. 
Bridging. With plastic foundation I really wouldâve never guessed. I wouldâve thought foundationless would have given you more issues with bridging. Also you at the meeting I hope this coming month. All have the order placed by then and maybe we can talk more about what youâre explaining and other issues on when I have with more hives
