How can I harvest frames that are not totally full?

Hy Mary
Nice t o meet you in this chat.!
Well I have to admit: 2 days after I took the foto of my hives that I posted, the left one swarmed - it was a big swarm sitting on a tree out of reach.

So we had to let him go
I took away the flowsuper and had to reduce them to one broodbox
Unfortunately the young queen had an accident or what ever - the colony got dronebrooding (I am translating intuitively because my dictionary has no idea)
I swept off all the frames and bougth a new queen, but she was not accepted, so we had to dissolve the Colony :sob::sob::sob:
Rhigt now I am doing the varroatreatment hoping that the bees will survive the winter
But still I absolutely enjoy beekeeping and hope you do as well
Good luck with your girls !

Thank you! I’m glad to see I helped someone - you’re brave! I’m just a first-year beekeeper y’know!

That’s a HUGE swarm, Maria! What a shame to lose it…something I dread,
but something I also know that I am not prepared to deal with today if it happens.

I’m going into my hives this weekend to check on harvest-readiness, and
also to do mite testing. I’ll try to post some photos.

Good luck…all we can do is keep learning!
