My name is Ous.

I just bought some property out in Estacada, Oregon(it is 47 minutes out of Portland, Orego)and the previous owners left an
old abandoned Bee Hive on the property. I am an extremely inexperienced person wanting to put this hive back in use. All I have done so far is,
I cleaned up the hive box.

I would deeply appreciate it if anyone with good experience would come out and meet with me so we
can figure out how to take my first step towards becoming a hobbyist
Beekeeper.

Since you found the boxes, As a precaution I would scorch them before placing bees in them. If the need to be patched and painted I’d do that as well.
