As some of you will know I have written a book about a bee. The book is called “Melissa”.
Melissa the name comes from the Greek word μέλισσα (mélissa), “honey bee”, which in turn comes from μέλι (meli), “honey”. In Hittite melit signifies “honey”.
The Story is intended for 10 – 14 year olds with a basic education in the workings of a bee hive told from the point of view of a worker bee called Melissa.
This fanciful story is written using words that the bees understand, because of course they don’t speak our language. So we are taken in the the bee mind set and see the world from their point of view.
Congrats ! Looks nice … My I-phone previewer would only let me see bits n pieces … But what i saw reads good for the age group. Thankz for sharing. My nieces name is Melissa too.
Vali, I wonder if I can get a copy at our local Barnes n Noble bookstore ?? Do you have the catalog n ISBN numbers I think… I’ll have to check n see. Sometimes they’ll bring in special Vietnamese n Oxford books for me.
