Need advice for leftover comb

My second Flow hive was vacated sometime in August (in Ohio) and so I was wondering what I can do with the partially filled out frames of old comb. Do I save it on the foundation, or do I scrape and melt it to use on next years frames? Any ideas?

Freeze it to kill any potential pest eggs and store it as it is making sure wax moths and mice cannot get to it. Next year it’ll give you a head start.

it’s not allowed in South Australia where I am- but old combs are very good for attracting or housing new swarms of bees- it gives them a great head start.
