Pollen on the Corflute bottom board insert

Hello Folks
I checked the Flow Hive on the weekend to see if it was ready for harvest and pulled out the corflute insert in the bottom board. It had a lot of different coloured pollen on it and I was wondering if it had been taken out of the comb by the bees to make room for more brood? I didn’t open the broodbox as I was running a bit short of time.
Any ideas?
I put the pollen off the insert outside the front of the hive entrance in case they wanted to reuse it. Was this the right thing to do?

Hiya Chris, is the coreflute slider in the top or bottom slot?

Hey Skeggley, its in the top slot as I recall.
