Hi everyone,
It’s my understanding that, due to assumed current Varroa-related biosecurity legislation, bringing fertilised queens from Queensland into South Australia is prohibited.
This has created a bit of a dilemma for us — we suspect our hive may now be queenless, and we’re hoping to introduce a new queen as soon as possible.
Does anyone know of any local queen breeders or suppliers within SA, or alternatively, from states where queen shipping into South Australia is still permitted?
Any leads or recent experiences would be greatly appreciated!
