Using two keys to crack a frame

Hi, I’m very new to beekeeping (harvesting my first soon)and just building up some knowledge. Can’t seem to find a definitive answer on whether it is ok to use two keys to crack the one frame ie after inserting both keys, turning the right key clockwise, the left key anti-clockwise. I’ve been told this makes it easier . Does this method work ? Does it damage the frame ?

If you have a second key then use it as there is less pressure needed to crack the frame open and when opening there is less distortion to the frame as you turn the key. You can of course open the frame cells with a single key but using two you will notice it is smoother and easier.

Yep, agree with Peter, less twisting of the frame and less pressure on the lifting tabs inside the key hole.
Recently the tab has broken with a frame that was difficult to open.

I really think there is a lot of merit in using 2 keys.

And, welcome to the forum.
