Looking at the entrance it doesn’t have a lot of bee activity.
Why are their numbers low?
Observation windows work as a good method of getting an idea of whether there is also little activity in the super.
Checking a tray or corflute slider provides many insights also. Bits of pollen suggest active bees still bringing in forage, fresh wax particles suggests new bees emerging.
If the hive is weak, it’s a sign you might need to preemptively assist them to fight off pests.
