I’m located in the PNW (Tacoma, WA) and I’m not sure if I should leave the vent open or closed for fall and winter? Also curious what your thoughts are on using the entrance reducer?

Close the vent. Use an entrance reducer/mouse guard. Insulate the walls. Consider a hive quilt (you can search the forum if you don’t know what that is) and make sure that all of your mite treatments are done.
