Great to see the response. Can I ask a question. Are we able to use a different battery that can be charged by a solar panel?

I don’t have a device to see how the battery is installed and whether an adopter could be used.

Or not, in my case.:disappointed:
“Unauthenticated email from yahoo.com.au will not be accepted”
After detailing the whole story my emails are returned.

Anyway thanks Mike, I am just too busy now to spend any more time on the things. (My order was #1146 )
I will write again in the new year when I am a little less busy and a lot more enthusiastic.
And try another email to write from.:slightly_smiling_face:

My goodness, what a mess. Like I may have mentioned, we did just change to gmail as our email service and it must be bouncing your domain for some reason. I’ll look into getting that fixed. In the meantime, if you get some time, we do have a ticketing system that I am in the process of setting up. You can reach that directly by going to https://desk.zoho.com/portal/broodminder/

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Adam,
All the sensors use a CR2032 coin cell battery. We don’t really have a way to power them with solar at this point. The sensors are made to be small and fit within the footprint of a normal hive so there really isn’t the ability to use an adapter. The scale goes under one side of the bottom board and is balanced by a 2x4 on the other side. The sensors sit on top of the frames inside the boxes. They are designed to last at least 6mos on a battery.

Thanks,
Mike

Here is a page I found that may relate to what you are experiencing.

Is it work for mobile-phone-tracker.org mobile recorder on Android?

No. Broodminder uses BlueTooth to transfer data from the scales/temperature gauge to your phone.
I had another look at this 11 days ago (the day the first honey went in the Flow) and still had no luck.
Seems like it is recording data OK but won’t hold the connection with my phone.
Just too hard. Put in the shed too hard bin.
I love the idea, but it has aways to go and and I wish them well.

I’ve just ordered these tags for an all in one temp/humidity. I’ll let you know how I go, but expecting zero trouble as it is a well established product in the food value chain.

I just have to work out a scale option too.

I wish you well. Maybe my Samsung Note is not up to it.

Hi @busso did you ever get your broodminder working?

Sorry for the long time response. The answer to your question is NO. Don’t even know where it is.

Cheers Busso. I have bought a BroodMinder in the meantime. Mine works fine. I like data ! (nerd alert!)

Not quite sure but it was still on the funding site. Maybe 2 years ago but I don’t know. Anyway glad its working out.
