Finished harvesting from my 2 6-frame hives over the weekend. The 90F degree weather resulted in a rapid honey flow out of the frames. The two hives were new nucs that I allowed to fill out two brood boxes before I added the Flow frames, so they were added in mid-June, near the end of our main nectar flow. Thanks to a relatively cool summer and a heavy goldenrod bloom I was still able to harvest 36 lbs of excellent, clear honey. Clean-up was a breeze!
