I am currently a meliponist but I really want to keep backyard honey bees in a residential area. I live in Cairns and we have a tropical climate, I was wondering if anyone had experience using a flow hive in this environment. Local beekeepers say those they know who have tried it haven’t had much success - issues with rot etc. I was wondering if there were any success stories from tropical climates, which flow hive you have and what you did to care for it in the wet tropics?
