Hello!
I have been trying to google the answer to this, but can’t seem to find any information anywhere. I set up my Flow Hive 2+ (just the brood box for right now) and the nuc is next to the flow hive now acclimating. The only issue (more like a question) that has come up is that I set it up on a slight slope where the front is towards the downhill portion (south/southeast facing in northern hemisphere) on top of some blocks. We get decent snow in the winter, so I wanted some elevation, so I also got the optional leg attachments with ant guard since we have ants as well. I understand the legs will be making up for some unevenness in the setting and this hill makes the slope of the legs look way more steep.
I set it up where the bubble on the side level is in the middle and the bubble on the back level is in the middle as well. So, with the leg attachments, the angle looks very apparent. My question is - Do I set it up with this 3 degree slope from the beginning (as it is now) or wait until harvesting? I think it’s supposed to be set up this way now because it will be quite difficult to do it later. But, I just wanted to confirm! The manual says the slope is for harvesting and I’m a very long ways away from harvesting anything.
Again, sorry if this is a dumb question!
