How much is made in australia?

Just wanting to answer the question, how much of the flow hive is made in australia?
There seems to be no real detail online stating where the frames etc are made.
Thanks

Welcome to the Flow forum!

I think it is pretty close to 100% now. The plastic frames have always been made in Australia (Brisbane, I think). Mine are stamped with “Made in Australia”. Some of the wood parts were originally made in the US, but I think much of that has moved to Australia now too, to try to improve on quality control.

I am sure that @Freebee2 will correct me if that is a misperception, though.

@Dawn_SD you definitely get a HD in Flow knowledge! Yes both the plastic frames and the timber hive components are made in Australia now for all of our hives, and you are correct that historically some of the Cedar hive bodies were made in the USA. We have our own local factory that makes most of the timber components now.

So now you have had a response from @Freebee2 who works for Flow (I don’t and never have). So you have the real truth! The Flow hive is about as Aussie as you can get!
