Was wondering how everyone keeps their lids from sticking on the smoker or prevent it? Thanks in advance.
They need to be cleaned out from time to time as the carbon builds up.
Other than that, yours may have suffered a hit that has distorted the lid or body.

If a little stuck you can use your hive tool to open by leveraging it against the bellow’s.

If you have alcohol handy from your mite washes, you can use that or paint thinner to wipe off the sticky film/carbon. PLEASE make sure your smoker is not lit and completely cooled. I only have to do that at the start of every year. But the hive tool against the handle does the trick.
