Hybrid - brood x flow combined into one

Has anyone ever thought about modifying (or actually modified) a hybrid super so that the flow frames are encased in an encapsulating excluder (combined horizontal and vertical excluder) that permits the 4 standard frames to be accessible to the colony for brood but restricting the flow frames for honey?

I realise the flow frames would be in the preferred location for brood (middle), especially in cooler weather, but during the warmer months it would provide an additional 4 frames for the colony to expand into.

Any thoughts on why this might not work, encapsulating excluder aside?

Hiya Snowy, if the brood is in an oval shape I’m not sure they would fill the Fframes with honey and the outside frames would still be used for stores so I can’t really see the point?
