Is this something to be concerned about?

the yellow in the comb next to bee.

Hi Ryan, its pollen, some little lady decided to relieve herself of her baskets there… :stuck_out_tongue:

The large number of open cells in that brood pattern bears more watching than the pollen in the cell: Keep an eye on it.

I think those open cells contain eggs that the camera angle is not picking up. You can just make out an egg in a lower down cell. There’s a lot of wasted space in that comb because of where the combs meet. That’s one of the downsides of using foundationless frames.

yes. two weeks ago when we inspected we saw a lot of eggs. Yesterday we saw no eggs and we are concerned. I will have to keep an eye on it. Thanks JeffH and Chili.
