Hello…I was wondering why “Flow” cannot combine products that are purchased into one delivery cost.
For example : (in Australia) if i purchase 1 brood box …it will cost around $23 to deliver. If I purchase 2 boxes then its $46 , 3 boxes becomes $72. This is quite astounding! Why can’t the 3 boxes be tied together then plastic wrapped and then one delivery cost of around $23. At the moment, delivery costings on individual items is making me look elsewhere for items. Solutions?
This topic got covered fairly extensively earlier this year, or last year with no favorable resolution. You might be better off looking elsewhere for those items.
I guess the downside for Flow would be that you start looking into traditional beekeeping while doing so, then decide you like it.
Thank you for the message. I will do a search for the topic and see what was discussed. I have also contacted flow and waiting for a response. In the meantime, I am looking elsewhere. Varroa and American foulbrood have now entered my area…so i have dumped the flow super and gone back to traditional and will wait till things settle down. cheers
Here are some quote costings…ignore the item price…just check the postal cost comparison between flow hive and another major bee equipment company in Australia
The shipping is outrageous. I’m also concerned about the cost of the boxes & frames. An A grade hoop pine 8 frame box, with 10 frames {minimum of 10 in a pack) is slightly under $60 at the place where I go at Caboolture Qld. That’s without shipping. I guarantee that they’ll bundle them all together to send as one parcel.
