Could anyone tell me what this mite is? I’ve recently started beekeeping again & have a hive with a nucleus doing well and another with a swarm.
I’m using a varroa floor for the first time & left the board in for a few weeks on both hives. There was quite a lot of detritus, especially in the nucleus hive. Both had a lot of mites. I have a microscope, so caught a picture as one scuttled past - 300 x magnification.
Pollen mite, most likely.
