This is our 4th season with bees…this morning & afternoon we harvested 2 full capped frames - approx 1.25-1.5 gallons / 5.5 hrs. (West Central Ohio) Depending on the nectar flow I hope the other frames will be capped within a few weeks…they are full of nectar just not capped as much as we would like.
Last year was our first harvest. Pic below is from last year of our set up…this year harvest was the blue hive. I recently found out I am sensitized/allergic so there is no more taking gloves off and using phone for a pic…last year photos will have to do.
