Any other Flow Hivers in the UK?

Hello all,
I began beekeeping in Dursley Gloucs back in May 2025. Learning fast. Making splits, marking queens, fitting superlifters and adding extra langstroth shallow hives. Always open to advice (thanks Dawn).

Hi, yes in the Isle of Man with two flow hives, and my friend also has a flow hive, but he hasn’t set up yet. We are vastly outnumbered with national hive beekeepers who have been either extremely supportive and helpful, or run a mile in the opposite direction. There seems to be no middle ground!

Greetings-
I have two hives (about to be 6) in Kilmacolm. Brand new to the group, and somewhat new to bees as well. Hope to add useful insight or at the least useful questions as time goes on.
-Cheers

Great! Hi Graham. Yes, it would be very useful to connect. Our micro climate and nectar flow will probably mean not leaving a super on over winter. I left both mine on last year and they were fine, however they were building from year 1 and I also fed them. Not sure what to do this year. Last autumn/winter I left the Queen excluder on both which reading and watching Cedars videos seems to have been a little imprudent! So tips and tricks how to take off the super will be gratefully received

Hi Jenny,

Good to connect. Welcome to the world of flow hive keepers in the UK. We are seemingly quite rare!
