Assembly dilemma

Thanks Wayne. They replaced it already… Twice, as the first replacement arrived broken in exactly the same way. Same spot. Precisely!

thats good if anything dont over screw it only screw till you feel abit of tension or at best maby dip the screw in a bit of wax or Once the head tightens up, you can see what happens, it splits the wood. Now, to prevent that what you can do is drill a pilot hole or a screw-shank clearance hole with a drill bit, then come back with a screwdriver bit to drive the screw . But that means you have to keep switching back and forth.

Cheers Wayne. Yea I’ve completed the assembly… all glued as well as screwed.
4 coats of tung oil. Should be good for a while I reckon.
