Draining the honey

What happens if I am draining honey and I have collected enough and the flow has slowed to a trickle, I close the cells and wait a bit longer than remove the tube and close up
Is this a disaster? Will the bottom keep filling with honey? When do I close up?

Cells that are already cracked open will continue to drain down into the bottom of the flow frame and the honey will leak back into the hive at the back. It depends how much is left but if there’s not too much, the bees will clean it up or it will dribble down in to the collection tray. You could also leave the collection tube in the frame and some tubing to a closed system and get every last drop…
