Hi all. New beekeeper with a cedar flow 6. I’m a little daunted by the new challenge ahead, but I hope the same patient approach I took in many years of keeping marine aquariums will stand me in good stead.
Assembled the hive today, and looking forward to the next steps.
Welcome to the forum, you will find lots of reading and folks happy to pass on advice and tips. I would advise finding your local bee group in the Sutherland area and get involved with them for local knowledge and climate conditions. A great place to find another beginner to buddy-up with and learn together, often 4 eyes and two minds are gold.
You are heading into a hobby where to be successful there is a very steep learning curve, and it doesn’t end. It can also be very addictive.
Cheers
