Hi everyone, how are you all going? Just wanted to say a very quick hello and ask for help from Fellow Australians. I am in Brisbane North and I am looking to purchase my first flow hive. I was wondering and hoping that there may be some trusted and knowledgeable people in my area that could help me get started and show me the ropes. I would also love to know where I may purchase some local bees preferably or what sellers I may be able to source them from.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Terri, welcome to the forum. If you don’t mind traveling to Buderim, I can help you with whatever you need. My bees are hard working, & easy to manage, at an affordable price.
cheers
Welcome to the forum, Terri.
I recommend joining a local club BEFORE getting your equipment and bees. Check this one out https://www.northsidebeekeepers.org.au/
You can attend without joining, so you can see if they’re a fit for you. There’s other Brisbane clubs too.
Clubs help beginners get started with classes and mentors. They usually run practical days at the club apiary. This is your chance to get into the hive to see if you’re ok with it. Not everyone is and it sucks to find that out after buying equipment and bees. You can probably get bees there too.

Thanks for the reply, Buderim is not that far off I would love to see the coast again. Please feel free to email me on TBTJaide@hotmail.com so we can organise something.
Thank you
Thank you that does seem like some pretty sound advice, I will look into joining a club for sure. Thank you
