Hello and welcome!
Hopefully your hive is ready and you’ve done some learning in the low season! You’re close to @Eva and not terribly far from me in Columbus OH - maybe she’ll have some local advice for you.

Hank: Did you ever get your flow hive working. I just got one and Im in the same area.
Hi,
I am from Quebec, Canada and new to beekeeping. I just bought two flow hives after 10-12 hours working with an experienced beekeeper and reading a lot about bees and beekeeping. I jumped in because I find bees (and other social insects) fascinating. Honey is also a nice bonus.
I just got my first colony a few days ago, and will get my second soon (from another beekeeper, so to introduce a bit of genetic variety) and I am working with my horticulturalist mother to create a small bee friendly garden in my backyard.
I am happy to be here; the community seems nice and friendly.
Hi & welcome to the forum. Good luck with your beekeeping journey.
Congrats on your start and welcome! Please post some pics of your gardens sometime ![]()
Thank you
I will be sure to do that soon.
