The Oriental wasp is the Ligurian Bee killer

Hi everybody, I read that in Kangaroo Island so many Italian Ligurian Bees are gone with the fire… and there food is missing all around from the fire.
I am so sorry… I think Kangaroo Island was on area where this fantastic bees where kept like in paradise… and now is a disaster…
WE here in Italy have a severe problems as we had in 2019 a increase 30 % + invasion of the Oriental Wasp that is killing our bees and also our Ligurian Bees…
All bee keeper are very concern and want to ask the government for help.
So much bad bugs and stuff is coming in from the Orient…!!qp1h4yve vespa-ape

Anywhere there are wasps a bee will be on their diet. It will be a shame if that sub species of Italian honey bee is wiped out because of the bush fires on Kangaroo Island and it is a real possibility with 1/3rd of the island already burnt out and out of control.
Cheers Helene
