First flowhive harvest

Did my first flow hive harvest today, my only previous harvest was a single frame harvested over the kitchen table. What a mess! The flow harvest was so easy compared.

I run a two deep brood box plus the flow super. The bees were packed in the hive so I knew they could handle the flow super. They started using it a week after putting it on and 4 weeks later I’ve harvested approx 20Kg of honey. Very happy with the flow hive.

Lovely looking honey! Many congratulations. My husband felt the same way as you did when we did our first Flow harvest. He never wanted to harvest honey the traditional way again, because this was so much easier and less messy.
