Beekeeper from Canada , between Cornwall and Montreal to be exact , been doing it for about three years and just got my second hive , unfortunately all my bees died this past winter and will be getting two nucs in the next couple of weeks. Hey @Bees, Stanton here. Good to see some Canberrans getting on board!

I’ve had bees for five years or so now, and I’ve currently got two hives: a Warre and a horizontal top bar hive. Both are doing pretty well, but I need to transfer the bees out of the Warre; it’s getting old! I’m trying to figure out a way to get them into a Flow.

Hi. Tony in Gabbadah (80k north of Perth, WA).
Have 1 hive going well, on 2 1/2 acres (retirement property) & will expand to 2 when Flowhive arrives. We have great nectar flows in our area - even right now from a couple of redgums! Thanks Cedar & Stu. Hats off to you.

Hi Wanda in Vermont, I’m gathering your Vermont is located in USA as we have a Vermont here in Victoria Australia. Just letting you know I have a friend in your town who owns a farm and breeds Australian Emu’s as well as producing the best Maple Syrup I have ever tasted. I am a relatively newbee with a couple of hives (12 months) and have extracted around 40 kilo’s and now I’m going to winter prepare my babies in the following week or so. I’m reading books and getting as much info as I can on completing this task successfully. Good luck with your proposed livestock farm, don’t forget the vegy patch as well. Mark

Raoul Teeuwen from the Netherlands. A friend of mine once showed me his hives and the whole process of getting out the honey. Don’t have any experience myself and hope the HoneyFlow will make it easy enough to keep bees…

Hello world! Newbee here on 100 acres an hour outside of Canberra, Australia (I work in Canberra). Am very impressed with this begining and the speed it is growing. Stumbled upon the initial crowdfunding project at just the right time. Looking forward to conversing and meeting with people with whom I share a ‘common ground’ - the knowledge that our little friends and us are so very much linked together in life. Let the sharing of knowledge begin…

I’ve had bees since 2000. Usually two hives, and mainly for pollination on our isolated, small farm. I’ve built a few bee hives, just from measuring my old ones and building a couple jigs to make it easier. In 2011, bees killed my wife (but she got better). It’s a whole story in itself that I’ll post in the appropriate forum some time. I’m located in Louisburg, KS USA.
