Hello everyone!

I’m from Manitoba Canada and i come from a beekeeping family. We’ve kept bees since 1918 and I have personally kept my own hives since 1995 but worked with my dad and brother since 1988. I used to run a commercial outfit of around 550 hives but when my back started to give out along with a few other things I cut back to a hobby level.

Of my family I have my dad, my brother, 3 uncles, and 9 cousins who all keep bees. Guess what we talk about at family gatherings?

Hi. I am a Beekeeper in the North East of Scotland in UK. I have only been involved with bees for a little over a year and have found it to be a real learning curve. I have purchased one of the flow hives and will look forward to receiving later this year. It will be the first Langstroth hive I will have as National Hives are more common for hobby bee keepers in this area

Greetings to one and all. It’s great to see the international flavour of members! A huge variety of experience as well from the seasoned pro to the beginner. Awesome.
I’m in the latter group, and had been mulling over becoming a ‘Beek’ for a few years but the flow hive nudged me over the edge. The long time to delivery is giving me time to read (3rd book in progress), join the local Beekeeper associate in Sheffield, England, and look to gain some skills (visiting the associations Apiary for the first time next week).
So ‘Hi’ to all, and looking forward to learning with you how the flow hive can be optimised for the sake of the bees and our backs!

I’m from Ontario Canada. We started three hives last year on our 500 acre organic farm. It’s been fascinating watching the girls work. Two hives made it through the winter and are building up nicely (a mouse chewed in through the side of the third hive) - we’re going to split one of the others to rebuild #3. We work with DE Hive equipment - built by an older gentlemen about an hour from us. It’s going to be interesting figuring out how to adapt the Flow to fit. We run 3 deeps of brood all season and leave them full for the winter. It’s nice to have a place where I can mention the Flow without immediately receiving a person’s negative thoughts about it.

Gabriel here from Ontario, Canada. I’m in my 5th beekeeping year here and I have 40 hives going on 100. I got a light kit to test it out and I think this is a wonderful invention. This year I had to buy a lot of equipment to expand so I could not get as many Flow kits as I wanted, but I hope that next year they will be available in stores so I can buy them instead of a complete extraction line.

Hi Dave, I am a first year beekeeper in the Hudson Valley in New York. I was lucky to have my first hive survive our brutal winter. I would love to hear how you winter over your hives as our weather can be similar. Lesa

Hello All From Gods Country, The great State of New Hampshire, USA. The home State of Rainbow The Macaw. The worlds fastest Motorcycle Riding Macaw (Bird) And assistant beekeeper. www.rainbowthemacaw.com
I have been a Beekeeper since 1991. I currently have three hives. I started beekeeping after a bad motorcycle accident. I did not want to take the pain medications. (NO IT DOES NOT Work as a pain killer.) I first started Apitherapy treatment for the arthritis in my hands and neck. (Yes it worked and still is working to reverse the effects of arthritis)
Bees are now a great part of my life and my grand children’s lives. We use everything our bees have to offer us.
Honey being the sweet bonus for our labor.
Thank you to Flow Hive for Inventing a way to capture this sweet bonus without having to disturb my bees. I can not wait to install them in my hives. Maybe / hopefully I will be able to keep my bees alive for more then 2 seasons.

Hi guys,
Barb and I are new to bee keeping and have done quite a bit of reading etc. We were looking for how to get started and what sort of hive to buy when we came across Flow Hives and ordered one straight away.
We are so looking forward to bee-autiful new adventure.
We are really into self sufficiency and a hand-crafted way of life. We hope to have our website (www.wildmountainherbfarm.com) up before too long.
We are from Ulong, near Coffs Harbour, NSW, Australia.

Bright thoughts,
Tony & Barb.

I live in the West of Ireland. Got my first hive in 2012 and now have 3 but still have so much to learn. Got a Top Bar Hive from Santa and looking forward to setting that up this year and my Flow Hive in 2016! I’m a member of a great local club - Westport Beekeepers Association.

Hi Yari … My Flow Hive will be stationed in Federal NSW. Once it arrives I’ll need to source some bees. Will get in contact with you nearer the time to see if you can help. I believe there’s a bee club in Mullum …

hey there everyone…Billy here from central Iowa, USA. We farm organically on our humble 120-acre abode. We are still two years away from being certified and experimenting with row crops outside of the traditional soybean/corn rotation. A high school neighbor friend raises bees and our gardens have been a delight for them over the last few years. We decided to get a full flow hive and have our neighbor help us learn the ins and outs of beekeeping. He is going off to college in the
Fall though, so this forum will be helpful.

Hello All From The Sunshine State!
BEE Packaging is a small veteran owned business, and we hope to be keeping bees soon. We had 2 different swarms of bees arrive here at our place in Arizona. When we called around to local bee keepers, no one was interested in them.
So after the 3rd swarm arrived, this great video popped up on Honeyflow! We are glad to support a skill that should be passed on, and taught to todays children. We need more bee keepers if we are going to save the bees!

Hi everyone,

That is, until my sister sent me the fantastic story of flowhive…brilliant concept! Cant wait to get into beekeeping and learning more from those that are experienced in this wonderful pursuit!
